One // Breckenridge Colorado
Since Colorado was having a record-breaking ski season, we decided to book a last minute trip to take advantage of it!. Lyla & Taylor had never been out west to ski and we were excited to give them that opportunity.
We used a travel agent through ski.com that was able to make all the reservations for us and also saved us a lot of money! I can't say enough good things about them. I am not sure I will ever book a trip again without the help of a travel agent. They were free to use as well so it was a win win.
The girls absolutely loved skiing out west and after 3 days of ski school, I was blown away by their progress. I can no longer keep up with Lyla and my husband is happy to have found a black diamond ski buddy. We are still a little sore, tired and some of us (me) are a little bruised from a fall but overall we had an amazing time. The town of Breckenridge has so much character and we loved exploring all the local shops.
There is still so much snow left, in fact, they extended the season through Memorial Day this year so if you are looking for a last minute trip to get some runs in we highly recommend it! The mountain was empty and we had fresh powder every day!
Two // Pink Jacket
We have been searching high and low for the perfect spring jacket and we finally found it. The blush color is perfect for those chilly spring days that require an extra layer. Pair this with white jeans and a simple tshirt for it's own look or throw it on with jeans or even yoga pants to dress it up. The shape is classic and one that will never go out of style so you can wear this for years to come!
Three // Selling Sunset
While we were in Colorado, I finally caved and watched an episode and was hooked. The combination of magnificent houses with a splash of reality tv made for an entertaining show. This was such an interesting peek into the crazy world of LA and how other people live. If you are looking for a quick, entertaining show to watch, definitely check it out.
Four // Purpose Shimmer Hoops
My favorite hoops are back in stock and I could not be more excited. I have had mine for a year now and they are a closet staple.
These Purpose earrings are hand made by survivors or human trafficking. The money goes back to International Sanctuary to provide these women with housing, therapy, health care and education. So not only can you look great while wearing these, you are also supporting an amazing cause. Each piece come hand signed by the woman who made it and would make an amazing gift for a socially conscious woman.
Five // Private Shopping Events
Our private shopping events have been such a fabulous way to spend time with girlfriends. What better way to shop than in the privacy of your home, with friends and a cocktail. The hostess receives 10% of total sales in free merchandise too! We have a few dates left in May, and anyone who books today gets an additional $25 gift card to spend at their event.
Don't want to host? We also offer private parties at the Lyla Taylor Boutique headquarters. Simply gather some girlfirends, bring some wine and we are happy to host. No worrying about cleaning your house or husbands, simply show up and we take care of the rest!
That's it for our Friday Favorites.
